Nepal Water for Health (NEWAH) launched their brand new website today, www.newah.org.np. NEWAH is a national level NGO in Nepal which has been working towards clean drinking water, hygiene promotion and sanitation since 1992. NEWAH's vision is a prosperous and harmonious Nepal where every citizen has the right to access improved Water, Sanitation and Hygiene facilities.
We wanted to create a professional site that would attract our donors, the public in Nepal, and the international community. Access to improved water and sanitation is a key issue in Nepal, and this new website provides excellent resources and information about this sector.
The Knowledge Management and Advocacy team at NEWAH worked together with Mercantile Communications in Nepal to create the new, modern and interactive design. One of the main features of the new NEWAH website is an interactive map that displays individual projects from 2010 onwards. This feature will show the exact GPS location of the project along with detail such as the number of people directly benefitin from the project. As NEWAH is a specialized organization in the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector in Nepal, the website offers important resources on the status of WASH in the country. A new and improved Publications and Research section allows users to browse and download informative documents.
