Mr Pandey has a Master’s Degree in Economics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal and has received a range of training including “Senior Manager’s Course -1990” from the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) in the Philippines. As one of the founders of NEWAH, he has successfully led NEWAH’s management since 1992 and has established the organization as a leading WASH Brand in the country, region and at the global level. A well-versed professional with experiences working with varied donors ranging from INGOs to UN agencies, Bi-laterals, European Commission, Rotarians and individuals, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the areas of sustainable WASH program, leadership, governance, institution building, strategic planning, partnership and non-profit management. With over 30 years of contribution in WASH and development sector, he has been recognized with various awards, and his papers have been published in about 100 different national and international journals and books. He was the National Coordinator for Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC) from 1997 to 2011 and was elected to represent South Asia in the Steering Committee of WSSCC from 2011 to 2014.
