Dr. Maheshwar Prasad Yadav

Dr. Maheshwar Prasad Yadav holds a Ph.D. in Management, along with dual master's degrees in Management and Sociology. In recognition of his academic excellence, he was awarded the prestigious Nepal Bidhya Bhusan 'Ka' by the Government of Nepal in 2023. Dr. Yadav is a prolific writer and researcher. He has authored over 27 peer-reviewed journal articles, two books on entrepreneurship and sustainable development, and more than 200 articles in national newspapers and online media. His research interests encompass WASH, renewable energy, entrepreneurship, and socio-economic issues. He has presented over 25 research papers at international conferences and participated in more than 30 such events.
Dr. Yadav is a distinguished Nepali scholar and development professional with over two decades of experience in international and national non-governmental organizations, including the United Nations. He has dedicated more than 14 years to the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector at a senior level. His extensive experience includes leadership positions in program management, policy development, and capacity building within the WASH sector. His work continues to influence policy and practice in sustainable development sectors within Nepal and beyond. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Planning, Monitoring, and Reporting Department at Nepal Water for Health (NEWAH) in Kathmandu. In this role, he also acts as the focal person for charity: water, USA.
