Mr. Madan Krishna Sharma, FCA

Chairperson

Madan Krishna Sharma is a distinguished Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, with more than 36 years of professional experience in auditing, financial management, and advisory services both nationally and internationally. Widely recognized for his integrity and technical expertise, he has provided strategic guidance to a range of national and international organizations, contributing significantly to improved financial governance and transparency in Nepal. He has been leading one of the leading accounting firms of Nepal, CSC & Co., as senior partner for the last 24 years. CSC has been continuously working with one of the Big Four global accounting firms for more than two decades, providing assurance services in Nepal, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.

He has held several influential leadership roles that have shaped the accounting profession in the country. As President of ICAN (2020-21), he championed professional excellence and promoted the adoption of international best practices. During his tenure as Chairperson of the Accounting Standards Board of Nepal, he played a key role in developing and implementing accounting standards to align Nepal’s financial reporting with global norms.

Beyond the accounting field, Mr. Sharma is equally active in social development and governance. He currently serves as the President of Transparency International (TI), Nepal Chapter, where he advocates for anti-corruption initiatives, integrity, and good governance, and remains engaged with various civil society organizations working in social service and public accountability.
