Padum kumar Yadav holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Palhi Multiple Campus, Nawalparasi, and has built a career in WASH sector. His professional journey spans several key roles in both government and development agencies, giving him broad experience in field coordination, community mobilization, and infrastructure-based project management.

He is a dedicated WASH professional currently serving as the Project Officer for Rautamai Rural Municipality, where he oversees the planning, implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance of water supply schemes and WASH facilities Rural Municipality level.

He began his career as a field coordinator at the District Development Committee (DDC) Nawalparasi (RWSSP-WN). He continued to expand his impact as a WASH Coordinator at Ramgram Municipality (RWSSP-WN), Nawalparasi. Later, he served as a Program Officer for the UN-Habitat WASH Program in Dhanusha, Janakpurdham, focussing on improving WASH facilities at project municipalities. In addition to his WASH-specific roles, he served as Social Coordinator for the ADB-funded SASEC Highway Improvement Project (Kanchanpur–Kamala Road). In this role, he worked on social safeguards, stakeholder consultation, and community awareness – experience that strengthened his ability to bridge infrastructure development with social inclusion and community participation.

Throughout his career, he has contributed to significant achievements, including supporting WASH program, implementing multiple gravity- flow and pumped water supply schemes, and leading large-scale community mobilization efforts aimed at improving hygiene behaviors and local ownership of WASH facilities.
