Mr. Raju Shrestha

Raju Shrestha is an experienced WASH professional serving as a Project Supervisor at Nepal Water for Health (NEWAH). With over two decades of experience in rural water supply, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs, he has contributed extensively to the planning, design, and implementation of community-based water and sanitation initiatives across Nepal.
At NEWAH, he oversees technical surveys, system design, cost estimation, and construction supervision of water supply and sanitation infrastructure. His technical expertise includes GNSS-based surveying, SW-MAP design, water quality monitoring, and quality assurance of WASH facilities.
Raju collaborates closely with local governments, Water and Sanitation User Committees (WSUCs), and community stakeholders to ensure effective planning, strong community participation, and sustainable service delivery. He also supports capacity-building initiatives, including Water Safety Plan implementation, sanitation and hygiene promotion, and technical training for field staff and community caretakers.
Through his solid technical background and commitment to participatory development, Raju contributes to strengthening sustainable and inclusive WASH services in rural communities.
