Mr. Raju Bhandari

Mr. Raju Bhandari is a qualified civil engineering professional with over ten years of experience in water, irrigation, agriculture promotion, residential & institutional buildings, and rural roads. Originally from Pyuthan, Lumbini Province, he currently serves as a Project Officer at Nepal Water for Health (NEWAH). He has previously worked with FIRDO Nepal/ PAHAL funded by USAID, Appro Built Pvt. Ltd., HPSV/BTI Nepal funded by Norwegian, and ASDP/GoN funded by IFAD, primarily in rural development projects.
Mr. Bhandari possess the strong expertise in infrastructure planning, design, execution, quality assurance, and project management. He excels in feasibility studies, surveys, BOQ/DPR preparation, site supervision, and material inspection, and has developed substantial experience in engineering design, project planning, data analysis, and community mobilization. His work encompasses the design and execution of agriculture roads, markets, warehouses, WASH systems, MUS/MIT technologies, low-cost housing, and over 300 irrigation and livestock structures, incorporating climate-resilient and bio-engineering approaches to ensure sustainable and effective infrastructure development.
In addition, Mr. Bhandari has supervised residential and institutional buildings, contributed to technical education and curriculum development at BTI, and facilitated over 100 greenhouses, drinking water, and irrigation projects, demonstrating strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Committed to sustainable, community-centered infrastructure, he combines technical excellence with teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving.
Outside of his professional work, Mr. Bhandari enjoys exploring new places, listening to music, and riding motorcycles.
